This is our cat. His name is Zeus. He's an odd cat. He won't eat pork tips but he loves vegetarian refried beans and, butternut squash. And as I recently discovered, corn cobs. I didn't capture a good picture, so I decided to put four bad pictures into an animated gif. Four bad photos = one good gif? I question my math.
Does your pet eat strange things?
Also note Zeus's new water bowl it has a ring that snaps on so he can't splash water out. He still sticks his paws in and pushes the bowl around, but he can't slosh the water out. Our hardwood floors with survive another season.
That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteMy puppy likes cherry tomatoes. ;)
ReplyDeletethat is funny :D
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute - cats can be so crazy!
ReplyDeleteAwww...I love it! I love cats ;-)
ReplyDeleteHahaaha. That's hilarious. One of my cats, Jinxie, will find hair ties, rubber bands, twistie ties.....and put them in her water bowl. I don't get it, but it makes me laugh every time!
ReplyDeleteI just found out last week that my cat eats cheetos
ReplyDeleteOur cats eat avocado!
ReplyDeleteThis totally caught my eye in my foodbuzz inbox! My cat eats corn on the cob, too! Goes nuts over it! She also eats asparagus, yogurt, cheerios, among others. How funny :)
ReplyDeleteYes, my pet dog eats lychees. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers, Niconica

cute!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I love it! When I first rescued Nano, he was still pretty feral so he would eat anything. Whenever I would drop peas or carrots and the floor he'd eat um!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie!! One of my cats eats lettuce and peas, but my other cat won't touch anything healthy. If I give the first cat tuna, I'll mix in peas and call it tuna casserole.
ReplyDeleteMy dog recently tore apart my friend's compost pile in search of year-old corn cobs and egg shells. The compost was all full of little worms and I had to pick them out of his fur. Gross.
ReplyDeleteSoooo, where do I get a water bowl like that? Mine doesn't so much splash as dunk her paw in and then lick the water off her paw, but it still gets all over...guess the ring wouldn't work huh? Great pictures though. I love cats.
ReplyDeleteOur cat eats zucchini and anything with flour in it- bread, tortillas, pancakes, waffles, etc. Strange bird!
ReplyDeleteCaught my cat eating grapes from the vine the other day.....
ReplyDeleteLOL! That must be why they put corn in all the pet foods--or wait--was the cat's interest first or the corn added first..maybe he is a corn addict!
ReplyDeleteSo funny:)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I love this. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOne of my cats LOVES to eat black olives. She will also eat broccoli and bread.
The other one turns her nose up at anything that doesn't have butter or salt on it. (Other than kitty food, turkey, and tuna, of course.)
hahahaha funny cat!!! :)
ReplyDeletePS: Have a lovely weekend!
Jen
I saw this in my Foodbuzz inbox and I had to tell you that my cat loves corn on the cob also. I thought we were the only ones that had a crazy cat!!
ReplyDeleteMy Golden Retriever also eats corn cobs, among many other things. I think he sees us do these things and decides what's good for us is fine with him. He picks strawberries with his mouth off the plant and eats them. Funniest thing I ever saw.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up on the farm, the cats loved it when we harvested corn from the garden. They'd get the occasional ear to gnaw on--I guess they liked the milky sweetness of it. Now I have a cat who adores tomatoes, but only to smooch on and play with. If I leave a bowl of cherry tomatoes on the counter top at bedtime, the next morning they'll be all over the house. He doesn't do this with grapes or cherries, though. It's a tomato thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a cat thing. ;)
Cheers! Carol
how funny, zeus looks so fierce! One of my kitties likes to share my yogurt with me, that's the only human food he likes.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! My cat (also named Zeus!) does the same thing with the water bowl. He pushed it around, scratches around it, I don't get it! But he's a super picky eater. Our other cat though, he'll eat just about anything; we have to keep our bags of onions locked up and away from him. He loves going after them and I don't know why (and onions are poison to cats, so we have to be careful!)
ReplyDeleteGosh how funny. I had 4 cats at one time. None now. They didn't eat anything strange BUT they would play with all kinds of weird things. I have parakeets now and they only eat Ecotrition food. I tried some fresh veg on them with some success.
ReplyDeleteThe pics may be bad but they are quite humorous.
